Expertise
Dr. Tang Fosi is a consultant pediatric neurologist with over 10 years of experience in providing exceptional neurological care. He has gained extensive expertise from practicing pediatric neurology at some of the largest children’s hospitals in both the north and south of England. Alongside his general knowledge in neurological evaluations for children and young people, he has a specialist interest in epilepsy and cognitive disorders affecting this age group. Dr. Fosi has also contributed to academia, producing internationally award-winning research focused on children’s epilepsy. From this research, he has developed a non-invasive technique for quantifying the impairment of brain function, which he has successfully applied in the context of epilepsy.
Dr. Fosi trained in pediatric neurology at the Great North Children’s Hospital (Royal Victoria Infirmary) in Newcastle and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. He completed a fellowship in epileptology at the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE), now known as Young Epilepsy. He holds a certificate of completion of specialist training (CCT) in both Pediatric Neurology and Pediatrics. His PhD research at University College London contributed to advancing our understanding of the structural basis of epileptic encephalopathy.
